I couldn’t decide if I should call this post “Pumpkins on Pumpkins on Pumpkins” or what I did because, WOW! I have never seen that many pumpkins before in my life! It was amazing! We had the best time playing in all of them while visiting the Dallas Arboretum. If you are in Dallas or visiting one weekend, I would strongly suggest you go see it! They have incredible gardens and fountains that you can sit and have a picnic near by. I mean seriously, talk about living out a movie moment ūüôā except, we were with our two wild banshee boys, so we decided it would be in our best interest to eat before we went this time lol.

The Arboretum is one of those places that if you can allow yourself to just stop and take a minute to look around, you see how incredible creation is all around us. When you allow yourself to pause the busyness in your own head,¬† you find that it’s hard to walk through acres and acres of gardens and not be overwhelmed with gratefulness for how unbelievably generous our Creator is, allowing us to see and experience His beautiful creations. Then, allow yourself to take a step further in thought, to realize He created it ALL FOR US with the purpose of our enjoyment and our use! So humbling… I can barely keep my begonias alive in my front yard and that’s just for me to enjoy…¬†It really helped remind me of what an incredible God we have and how even in the things we only see once or twice a year, he allows them to stay beautiful and ready for our enjoyment whenever we choose to visit.

I feel like that is true about a lot of things in life including my relationship with God. He is always present and ready for me to stop and visit with Him, usually with something beautiful to discover if I take the time to realize it. Have any of you felt that way? Once you finally take a minute out of your busy day and focus on God, he shows you something so great or beautiful that you were not expecting or surprised to be blessed by? Love to hear your thoughts or stories in the comments below!
