Is anyone else wondering where this week went??? I swear I blinked and its Friday. This week has been a bit of a whirl wind. It just so happened that Garrett and David were out of town this week so naturally I went in stayed at my sisters all week. Does anyone else hate staying alone at their house?!? I know I’m guilty! So, I took the opportunity to slumber party at Laura’s house with the boys. Plus, it gave us some extra sister time to catch up that we rarely get until the babies go to bed.
We had the best time just being sisters. It’s so rare that we get to just sit and enjoy each other without life’s busy distractions or trying to figure out what that loud crash we just heard was that came from the boys’ playroom. I am super grateful for that time – even if by the last night all four of us (Laura, Me, Beckham and Chamberlain) ended up in the same bed by the morning. It was less sleep but with a whole lot of baby snuggles, so I’d say it was worth it!
On to this outfit. I had been on the hunt for a great pleated skirt and was so excited when I found this one. I just love the feminine feel that pleated skirts have plus I love any skirt that hits below my knee – it’s wayyyy more flattering for my shape! I can’t seem to pass up on anything thats blush color this fall! For me, it is the perfect transitional color because as it gets cooler, I will warm it up with a cream sweater and nude heels. I randomly found this cami a couple weeks ago and decided to get it and hope I’d be able to work an outfit around it, so I was thrilled when I came across this skirt! Also, I thought I was going to completely skip the blue jean jacket phase, but this outfit made me change my mind! I love how you can throw it over your shoulders and it instantly gives an outfit a fresh fall feel. And these one has a great stretch to it for it doesn’t feel too stiff while wearing! What are your thoughts on jean jackets?!?
