IF Lead | Finish the Race

Last weekend I had the privilege to attend a Christian leadership conference in Dallas called IF Lead. It was my first time to attend the conference and it was no coincidence that a ticket just happened to come available, through a friend, for this sold out event. I was supposed to be there. I needed to be challenged and needed to fan the flame that God has instilled in me.

It was such an incredibly encouraging conference full of speakers from all over. These speakers included Pricilla Shirer, Jennie Allen, Jill Briscoe and many more! The overall theme of this conference was to finish the race strong that God has given to us to participate in. It doesn’t matter if we go over the finish line running, walking, limping or crawling the point is that we finish. He has entrusted us with the gift of sharing his love…What will we do with that? Will we hoard the good news up all for ourselves? Or will we share it with everyone we can?

The idea of finishing a race can be so overwhelming, but that is why we must stay in constant communication with God. We need to be praying and asking him to come alongside of us to fill in our inadequacies, doubts, and insecurities. We need to be asking him to give us the wisdom, strength, and energy to live out our part of the race every day! It is easy to let fear get in the way of the race but God allows the impossible to become possible for those who call on his name.

There were so many incredible thoughts, ideas, stories and challenges shared at IF Lead. I cannot wait to share more on our inspo tab with you!

A couple verses that help encourage me when I think about the race I am called to run!

Philippians 4:6

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”

Psalms 121:1

“I lift my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth. ”
