This year I have so many new goals and dreams I am working towards! These involve my spiritual, family, health, fitness, travel, and work goals. Today I wanted to share a little about my 2018 goals on health and fitness!
I am so grateful that at the end of 2017, I met my weight goal for the year!!! I was so happy because it was time to get my final pounds of pregnancy and baby weight off. Why is that so much harder with the second baby???
Once I hit that goal it was AMAZING how much better I felt about myself! It also made me want to crush my next goal!
My goal this year in the fitness department is to work on toning up my mom bod! I am scared and thrilled to be rolling out BBG with Kayla Itsines next week. That girl knows what is going on when it comes to health and wellness! I have been following along with her all of last year and the ladies that go through her workout routine literally look incredible!!! I love that what she has people strive for, going through the program, is not to just get skinny, but to get to be the healthiest version of themselves.
All of our bodies are different, so I think it is important that her program promotes this goal for your own body! I can’t wait, but I know it is going to be extremely challenging (I tried a couple of her workouts at the end of last year…Yikes, lol).
I used to have the mindset that I don’t have time to focus on me, or slip away for my own workouts…I am a mom of two and last year Cristie and I were running our boutique business and new blog! I have slowly but surely been realizing how important it is to keep yourself ( Mom or not) the healthiest version you can. It is one of the best ways you can take care of your family and your relationships! This creates more energy, more confidence and more room to pour into all of your loved ones!
I wanted to share one little tip that did help me get motivated to the gym to get that baby weight off last year…A few pieces of workout attire that I actually felt comfortable working out in! This doesn’t have to be a big investment at all. In fact, I suggest you do not go out and load up on expensive workout wear when you are trying to drop some weight. I would be smart and save that little shopping spree as a reward when you get your desired weight off! I mean, who wants to be stuck with a bunch of expensive workout wear that is too big???
I would suggest checking out options like these affordable pieces! Pretty much everything I started my new workout schedule with came from Target last year! I literally went there and purchased a few different workout leggings (The high waisted ones are my favs so you don’t have to pull them up all workout!). I also brought a couple of cute sports bras and tanks. That gave me a simple uniform to throw on and roll out the door at 5:45 am! Check them out below!
I would love to hear back from any of you that have tried the BBG workout program! What did you think? Were you able to stick with it? What were the biggest challenges?
Hope everyone is off to an AMAZING 2018!!!
