Thanks to the awesome feedback from you guys, this weeks Wednesday’s 13 under $30 post is all about our favorite skin care and treatments! I have tried all of these and LOVE them so each product comes highly recommended!
1. Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner
I can not say it enough, I absolutely LOVE this toner. I have linked it before and will continue too because its THAT good! I use it first thing in the morning and after I wash my face at night. The aloe vera and rose petal help sooth your skin and prep it before applying your moisturizer. I feel like I can always tell a difference when I use it on my face. And the bottle lasts forever! I only have to re-order mine every 3 months!
2. Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Face Wash
I have used tons of different face washes and gels in the past because I have had terrible skin problems- cystic outbreaks and the hormonal chin outbreaks so I am very well versed when it comes to the battle between skin and face washes. After trying what felt like was every type of face wash prescribed or luxury brand – this Neutrogena face wash is my favorite! I literally travel with it now because when I use other soaps or products I tend to break out that next week. I am a total believer in finding what works best for your skin but if you have struggled a ton with skin problems and spent too much money (like I have) on products, I would definitely try this next! You can buy it at any Kroger or CVS and its under $10!
3. Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips
This is another drug store fave of mine! I don’t use these weekly but when ever I feel like I need a mini facial I use them! They really do help remove black heads and since I am such a bad “picker” I think these actually help to not irritate my skin as much as I would trying to remove the black heads myself.
4. Jade Facial Massage Roller
I actually saw other blogger friends raving about this product so I wanted to try it myself! For those that are new to jade rollers – these are used to help with skin circulation to promote anti-aging while also reducing pore size. It has a small end that is to be used around the eyes ( bye bye puffy eyes!) and the larger end is used around the rest of your face. Tool tip: Make sure to gently roll skin from the bottom of your face upwards to promote proper circulation for skin. Love how soothing this is to use before bed time!
5. Patchology FlashPatch Rejuvenating Eye Gels
I feel like these should be a PSA for everyone! I love these eye gel patches and use them any time I have early morning meetings, photo shoots or before a big event! They are perfect for any time I start to notice my under eyes needing a little a pick me up. There are all different types of caffeine eye patches out there and you can walk into Sephora or Nordstrom and quickly drop $50 or $75 on a pack of them. Which I am totally guilty of doing but these I have found and love and think work just as well! So if you have any fun dinners or events coming up or weddings I definitely would try these… or if you are a tired momma that wants to not look tired for a day, these are for you 🙂 Shout out to all our hard working momma friends! You are doing great!!!
6. MARIO BADESCU Drying Lotion
This drying lotion is the best! I absolutely love it! Even though I don’t suffer as much with break outs, I still occasionally get them… thanks a lot hormones! When that happened though I always always always use this! It helps dry up any blemish and also works to quickly heal it. If I feel something coming up on my face I will use this like spot treatment and sleep in it over night. And just a real life moment to share, especially during my college and post college years there were many, many nights that I looked like I had chicken pox because I had so much to spot treat. I share that to say that I hope no one feels discouraged when they see our feed and thinks we can’t relate…. because oooohhh girl we do! So don’t feel alone with acne struggles – I have been right there with you!
7. DeWEISN Tri-Fold Lighted Vanity Makeup Mirror
Growing up, my mom always had a vanity mirror in her bathroom and I would love to play in her make up and use it when ever I could ( with or with out permission…sorry mom!). There is something so fun and glamorous about a light up mirror as a little girl and now as a grown up, well, not much has change haha! But now I actually need it for the magnify features. This one is currently my favorite because it has great lighting and also has 2X and 3X magnifiers that are crucial these days for tweezing! I used to have one from Sharper Image but I actually like this one more AND its a fraction of the price!
8. MARIO BADESCU Facial Spray
You may have been noticing that I have a thing for anything with rose water and aloe in it… which would be 100% percent accurate. I went to a esthetician about a year about because I had been struggling for over 2 years with severe dry skin and she was told me that I should really look for products with those ingredients in them, especially the rose petal extract. I am SO grateful I listened because I think it has helped change my skin the most! Rose water and rose extracts are super gentle on the skin but also are awesome for hydrating and soothing the skin. This facial spray is my go-to during the day or when traveling when I start to feel like my skin is starting to dry out plus it smells amazing like you just walked out of a spa! Who doesn’t want to smell like that, right?!
9. Aquaphor Advanced Therapy Healing Ointment
When I say I have used this miracle product every night for the last 10 years – I am not exaggerating! I absolutely swear by it! I predominately use it for my lips as chapstick every night (as does Garrett now!) but I will also use it on my hands or nose if they get chapped in the winter. The best part is that you can buy it pretty much anywhere! Which has been a life saver for me when I have forgotten mine while traveling. If you have sensitive lips (like me) I would definitely try this for them and they even sell the mini size ones for your purse!
10. Biotin Vitamins
Confession. I am a vitamin person. It has taken me a long time to become a consistent one, but now I take my vitamins every day and am a total believer in them. I started taking biotin in high school because my mom bought if for me to help with my hair skin and nails. Back then, I wasn’t remotely consistent with it but now that I am taking it on a daily basis I can tell it has helped with my over all complexion and has even helped my hair look and feel healthier. Now that I confessed my love for vitamins, would y’all be interested in me doing a post or review about all the vitamins I take and why? If so, let me know!
11. Tweezerman Stainless Steel Slant Tweezer
This goes out to all my OCD ladies that love to pick and tweeze at everything! These are the best tweezers ever! I have used this brand for years and will only buy it because they really are that much better than other brands. Definitely worth the investment!
12. Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes
These wipes are another part of my nightly routine. I love using cleansing wipes after I wash my face ( before my rose toner) to get any remaining makeup off my face and neck. I have tried tons of different brands and also different wipe types from Neutrogena but this “Night Calming” one is so gentle on the skin and also has a scent that instantly calms you before bed time.
13. BUBBLESHEET™ Oxygenating Deep Cleanse Mask
If you are looking for a great quality mask that is so fun for girls nights. It’s bubbly/fizzy foam instantly creates a fun experience that everyone should try! It’s also great if you don’t like leaving masks on long because this one only takes 3 minutes to work! Great for dissolving dirt and build up on the face!
