Christmas Tablescape with MacKenzie-Childs

If you’ve been following us for any amount of time you know we have a serious weakness for the MacKenzie-Childs Courtly Check print!

We recently had the privilege of being invited to the Christmas event hosted by MacKenzie-Childs in Dallas (still on cloud nine from getting to meet the incredible MacKenzie-Childs team and hearing the story of how it all began.) During the afternoon, they threw the most fabulous, and I mean F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S, tea party where we all were able to pick out our own teacup.  I instantly fell in love with this teacup and saucer and ever since then I have wanted to bring in some of that same whimsical playfulness into my own home. That’s what I love most about MacKenzie-Childs — how each perfectly hand-painted print or item has the ability to create such a lovely memory of a moment that you can’t help but want to share with others whenever you see it or host using their pieces. I loved picking out a few new pieces to update my dining room tablescape for Christmas this year.

MacKenzie-Childs truly can be for any and everyone — they have pieces that work with any budget and their whimsical patterns make it so easy to mix and match with things you already have. I have loved slowly adding them into my everyday collection one at a time, adding that punch of playful to my classic pieces. As shared in my team party story,  I loved the ceramic Courtly Check and wanted to incorporate it somehow, I found that adding in the dessert plate was the perfect way to create a fresh style to my tablescape while also staying within my budget.

So definitely look at what you already have and see what may be a fun pop of print or flare to add in with MacKenzie-Child’s.

Another great way to add in my favorite print more subtly is to pick up some of their ribbon! The quality and richness of the fabric makes any area pop! And each roll comes with 30 feet of ribbon, I repeat, 30 FEET OF RIBBON!! I used one roll to decorate my whole house and still have some left over! This would be so perfect to use for gifting as well. Plus, you can use it throughout the year with other holidays like Easter set against pastels, or pair it with your favorite pumpkin-colored decor come fall! Such a great and affordable way to bring this print into your own home!

Another thing I have to highlight from MacKenzie-Child’s during this holiday season (because they are too cute not to share) are their incredible ornaments!  Laura and I collect an ornament each year and it’s become the sweetest tradition that we have loved watching grow throughout the years. Their ornaments make for the perfect gift for a mother-in-law, mom, or favorite co-worker. Here our favorites from this year’s collection:

This is the one I got Laura this year! I love the little cake platter so much and reminds me so much of my favorite little hostess with the mostess, Laura!
