There’s nothing quite like celebrating Christmastime at Gaylord Texan Resort. With their incredible lights, awe inspiring decorations, and family-friendly activities it is a holiday tradition we look forward to every year. Snow tubing, gingerbread decorating, ice skating… anything you can dream of to help you get in the Christmas spirit and to celebrate this festive season can be found at Gaylord Texan.
While this year has been different for many reasons they kept safety measures and social distancing in mind and were able to provide that same Christmas cheer we have experienced in years past. It is the BEST way to celebrate all things holiday with your family. It was a day filled with laughs and love and all the Christmas our hearts could stand!
We started our day with the I Love Christmas movies event, which is beyond cool. The boys were in awe the whole way through. It’s very interactive, which we so enjoyed. The boys favorite was Elf while the adults, of course, loved Christmas Vacation… a true holiday classic.
We also got to build a snowman which was such a treat for these Texas boys who don’t get to see a lot of snow!
Snow tubing was a HIT for the Walker fam. The boys went on that more times than I can count and loved every second.
They also have ice skating and a carousel. And Santa, of course!
We had dinner at Texan Station restaurant. They hosted us for dinner and the chefs were incredible! They came and interacted with us multiple times with the food. They made us a special dessert platter that the whole family loved! The food was great; I highly recommend their nachos, burgers and rainbow cake!
We all loved the Yuletide Bright Walkthrough Outdoor Lights. It is truly a magical experience even as an adult. Seeing the kids enjoy it so much was an extra treat.
