Fourth of July is in T-minus 8 days. Still trying to wrap our minds around the fact that it’s officially summertime! We love this holiday so much because it has always been our family reunion for my moms side of the Family for over 15 years now.  The tradition first started to celebrate our grandma Omi’s birthday which was also on July 4th. Our Omi was the sweetest little German lady who loved nothing more than being with her family. So it only felt right to throw a big party to celebrate her… and America’s Birthday!  (Scroll down to see a few old pictures through the years!)  She passed away a few years ago at age 95 years old but her sweet memory and the tradition to celebrate the day BIG still lives on.
